Troubleshooting activation issues

Summary

ActiveImage Protector comes with online software license authentication and activation system. When the number of the installed product exceeds the number of the purchased licenses, the activation fails.
For example, after replacing a PC, if the information of the previous PC remains in Activation Server, installation of the product on the new PC fails.

Workaround

Server/Desktop Edition

When activating the product installed on PC, you may get “Too many activations (Now = N / Limit = N)”.
This dialog is displayed when the number of the product installation exceeds the number of the purchased licenses.

Activation failed.
Reason : Too many activations (Now = N / Limit = N)
Do you want deactivate other machines and activate this machine?
[OK][Cancel]

Click [OK] and select the host computers on which instances of ActiveImage Protector are currently activated and click [Activation].

Virtual Edition

When requesting activation of the product, you may get “Too many deployments (Now = N Unique Hosts / Limit = N)”.
This dialog is displayed when the number of installation of ActiveImage Protector Virtual Edition exceeds the number of the purchased licenses.
