Summary

When installing ActiveImage Protector on host computer by entering the product key for ActiveImage Protector Express5800/ft Virtual, you get “The entered product key is invalid on this operating system.” and installation may fail.

Summary

Hyper-V physical host key for ActiveImage Protector Express5800/ft Virtual is designed to allow installation of the product on physical machine only. However, when “Microsoft Storage Space Device” is included in the list of disk drives for that environment, the installation environment is recognized as virtual machine, so that the installation fails.

If this occurs, please contact Actiphy’s Technical Support.
This issue does not occur with ActiveImage Protector 2022.
